"I’m thankful I’ve had another year to show my creative side and meet so many remarkable makers. I’m especially excited to give some homemade gifts to my loved ones, as we do every year.
Looking forward to our 10th year of creating for BLOCK magazine, I’m reminded that even though this is considered the “season of giving,” every day lived is a day we can give to others. There’s always something we can give, whether it be a quilt we’ve made or simply our presence for those who need a pick-me-up. We devote our time and talent where we can so we stay connected to the community. This is how we show our hearts, how we touch the lives of others and inspire them to do the same." subscribe to read more ➤

Quilting in an Amish Paradise
It’s no secret that Hamilton is full of wonderful things to experience, but you may not know about the wonders that lie just beyond our little paradise. Not so far away is the historic town of Jamesport, home to the largest Old Order Amish community in Missouri.
These families contribute most of the handmade wonders available for sale in the Jamesport shops. Among these baked goods, crafts, and friendly smiles, one can also find some gorgeous, traditional, hand-sewn quilts. We dig further into this hidden quilt gem to learn how this community tells its tales through needle and thread.
- Designer Feature -
Charisma has published over 300 patterns and has had her work and life story featured in over 75 magazines. She has appeared in 2 episodes of At Home with Misty, and we have many of Charisma’s patterns available at Missouri Star. Jenny has done a few Charisma favorites in her tutorials, like the Live Boldly quilt.
We always enjoy working with Charisma to make something stunning, which is why we are thrilled to join forces again as she has brought us a fun new project exclusively for BLOCK magazine!
The Stolen Stitches is a mystery novella written by Hillary Doan Sperry divided into 6 parts for each issue of BLOCK magazine. We're wrapping up part 6 in this issue with a digital exclusive bonus of Jenny reading the entire novella!
