Getting started with English Paper Piecing (EPP)

We have tons of getting-started tutorials in our English Paper Piecing tutorial series on YouTube! Want to start the learning process with one handy kit? Misty will teach you the basics with our Missouri Star EPP Beginner Kit, and you’ll also learn more about the materials you’ll need (needles, templates, papers, glue) to get you happily hand-stitching away!

Beyond the Basics: What Can You Make with EPP?

Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’re probably wondering what else is out there. The good news is that you can use English Paper Piecing for just about anything! You can piece simple motifs to applique onto bags, pillows, or denim. Or you can build masterpieces out of your English Paper Piecing shapes alone. The steps are always the same - cut or fussy-cut your fabric, wrap it around the paper pieces, and then sew. With the Missouri Star EPP templates, you can choose to sew by hand or by machine - whatever you prefer!
