Once upon a time, we thought the Doan family was 100% English. But a DNA genealogy test proved us wrong. There’s plenty o’ Irish charm in this jolly clan! (19% to be exact!)
Whether you boast real Irish blood or not, sewing for St Patrick’s day is a sham-rockin’ good time! So we’ve gathered our favorite ideas for a home stitched holiday filled with luck—and maybe just a pinch of shenanigans!

It’s March, and we’ve got shamrocks and leprechauns on our mind. But when it comes to quilting projects, we like something that can be used throughout the year. We love to choose a favorite quilt pattern and make it up in pretty greens. It’s festive during the holiday and functional every other day, too!
The Half & Half quilt came to life when Jenny experimented with HALF square triangles chopped in HALF. (The results sure are pretty!) Made in fresh and grassy greens, Half & Half is a beautiful choice for a St Patrick’s Day quilt!

Jenny’s Spring Rain quilt is a faux churn dash of sorts. It’s made simple with half square triangles and strip sets, and each block is neatly framed with sashing and cornerstones. It brings to mind the timeless beauty of the Emerald Isle without being too “theme-y,” so you can use it in any season!
