“Awesome magazine with great patterns”
Everything about this magazine is awesome! Every issue is jammed packed full of great ideas and patterns! The patterns are great! The photos are great too! Misty inspired me. This was one of my first quilts. I’ve only been quilting three years and I just finished the fireworks quilt. I always tell people Missouri Star Quilt Company taught me how to quilt. Keep up the good work!
— MaryLee
I was excited to see the flying geese quilt on page 10. I ordered the fabric and made it for my daughter when it was on the show a few years back. It was so fun seeing it featured in the magazine. Mine is a subscription, so I ordered the separate one for part of her birthday. She was excited too!
— Judy Husted
“Fantastic magazine with great patterns”
I love all of the informative stories, beautiful patterns, and suggestions for better results. I really love the entire magazine. I made it from pattern in the Block. Excellent.

Ten 45mm rotary blades in a reusable storage tin
★★★★½
$29.95
A dull blade makes every cut harder, so it pays to keep spares in the drawer. Reviewers say these cut just as smoothly and last just as long as the name brands, and the tin they come in is handy for holding used blades until you can throw them out safely.

“Best cutting blades I've owned”
These are the best cutting and longest lasting blades I have ever owned! The actual sharpness, smooth cutting, and they last a long time.
— Beverly
“Sharp and long-lasting blades”
The blades are very sharp. I have used MSQC’s blades before and have always been pleased. They last as long as the Olfa brand. They were on sale. I try to keep plenty of them.
— diana
“Great value and quality blades”
This is a fabulous value. I love when this pack is on special sale. The blades are top notch. The house brand is just as sharp as name brands. There is no difference in quality. They last a while. Getting 10 for this price lets me not question when to change them out.

“Christmas fabric, Maywood Studio”
I was looking for a fabric collection that was not too fussy. I wanted something for my table that would not steal the show but complement my simple Christmas theme. This is perfect for my table runner! I have not started on the runner, but I am planning to use a simple patchwork design with a small border of some fabric that coordinates.
— CHERI S.
“Beautiful charm pack for quilts”
The item is a beautiful charm pack. It has great quality and looks just as listed. I have never received anything from MSQC that was not great quality and just as listed and shown on their website. I'm using it for a Christmas time lap quilt for in the living room to stay warm on a chilly evening.
— L Golliglee
“Excited for my chandelier quilt”
I am using it for a chandelier quilt with 5 inch squares. The charm pack will be used with other Christmas scrap fabric for a queen/king size. I have 2 already planned and one chandelier quilt to be laid out and sewn later on in the year. I just hope my plan works. Thank you.

Missouri Star Embroidery Panel - Frosty Friend
Pre-printed outline embroidery panel — no transferring required
★★★★½
$19.95
The design is already printed on the panel, so there is no tracing or transferring to do—just hoop it up and start stitching. Reviewers finish these in an evening in front of the TV, and plenty of them are collecting the whole set. One thing to know before you start: floss is sold separately, so add your colors to the cart.

“Love the simplicity and creativity”
I love outline embroidery. This is a brilliant idea! I also want to get the cat/Halloween panel. I am using it for a wall hanging. I love the overall simplicity of this kit; no huge time commitment. I think it would be great if you did a kit of the month with little 12x12 wall hangings. My mom taught me to embroider when I was 8 years old and I continue to love it. I find embroidery peaceful and enjoy working on a project listening to music or Acorn & Britbox.
— Kyle
I bought this panel to get back into hand embroidery. I wanted an easy Christmas project I could do at night while watching TV. This seems perfect. I had to buy embroidery floss, and now it is a matter of choosing which colors to use. A perfect easy and quick project.
— Linda
“Perfect for winter quilts”
I'm using it for a lap quilt. I like the embroidery, and I think the snowman can go through the winter months. Last year I missed the Santa redwork head, and I had to get this year’s blue work. I like how well it was packed and how fast I received the package.

Missouri Star Perle Party Pack (25)
Twenty-five colors of perle cotton in one pack
★★★★½
$64.95
Twenty-five colors of perle cotton in one box, ready for binding, big-stitch quilting and hand embroidery. Reviewers say having the whole range on the shelf is what keeps a project moving—no stopping to order one more color. Perle cotton is also easier to work with than floss, since there are no strands to separate.

“Perfect for embroidery enthusiasts”
I love embroidering with perle cotton vs regular embroidery floss. This is actually a gift I'm saving for Christmas, but the Deal of The Day with all these wonderful colors could not be passed by. I like the great variety of colors and the Daily Deal value for that many in a pack. I used one of the packs. I taught her how to embroider, and we recently ordered the plain sheets to print on. She's all excited to learn and try more. I used my first set for the beautiful Denim Quilt with the 20 blocks of Jenny's Mother's Flowers. This is one of the patterns you provided in the nature group that I embroidered on a sweatshirt. I hadn't embroidered since I was a little girl and truly fell in love with the perle cotton. Love MSQC.
— Kimberly
“Great variety and easy to use”
I love having a variety of colors at the ready, no matter the project. I have purchased several of your embroidery kits and patterns, and I have one left of the patriotic one to do. Then I think I'll start on the snowman and matching pillows. Sew many ideas! Sew many fun gifts to make! It's not my first time using perle cotton. I first used it for hand quilting. I like it for embroidery. It is easier than separating strands of embroidery thread, which I did for years.
— Julie
“Vibrant colors for a beautiful quilt”
I love the colors and the quality of the thread. I'm using some of the colors with Ingrid's embroidery designs. It will eventually be a quilt. The 3 yard fabric will be used for the back. I love the great colors. I'm using two of the fabrics from Ingrid's wildflower collection for sashing and borders. I will share when I get the quilt finished.

Missouri Star Quilting Clips - 50 pk
50 clips for binding, piecing and holding anything shut
★★★★½
$29.95
These clips are essential for binding, but there are many reasons to keep them in your sewing room. Use them to clip multiple layers together for bag projects or when you want to avoid dropping pins on the floor or pricking your fingers. Reviewers noted they use about two or three clips per foot, so 50 clips are enough for a lap quilt.
Shop the clipsFeatured customer reviews
I love these clips. I use them to put my binding on my quilt. I don't have to worry about losing pins in my living room while sewing on my bindings. I use 2-3 clips depending on the quilt.
— Lisa McGill
“Great clips for sewing projects”
I love using clips for any sew project. They are easy to use, and I love the fun colors. These clips come in handy to keep small items together while sorting your projects materials before starting. I love that they are safe for kids to use so that little hands can help in this process. They are a great product and a definite deal of the day!
— Janine
“Essential for quilt binding”
I love using the clips when binding a quilt. The more clips I have to place around the quilt, the more smoothly binding goes. I bought two packs thinking I might give one away. I already had several clips but wanted to add more. As it turned out, I used this pack to bind a quilt last week on the way to MSQC for the Doan Girls Retreat.

Missouri Star Quilt Wall
A flannel design wall for laying out blocks before you sew
★★★★½
$39.95
A flannel design wall lets you lay your blocks out and step back before you sew a single seam. Reviewers say it holds fabric better than the flimsy ones they have tried, and more than a few mention rearranging blocks on the wall and landing on a layout they liked better than the one in the pattern.
See the quilt wallFeatured customer reviews
This has made my life so much easier! I live in a very small house with few walls and I got this design wall and I hung it up over my large double closet in the living room and I hang it there and put my quilt pieces up on it. I can design and see exactly how I want things to be sewn and it is just wonderful and when I am done, I just fold it away for the next quilt.
— Colleen
“Great quality and helpful for planning”
The order was shipped and delivered more promptly than expected. The quality was what I was looking for, but now I have to move some shelving to make a place to hang it for use on my next quilt. I will use it to plan the layout and the parts as I sew and assemble it. My space is limited, so it will be a big help in the process.
— Ellen
“Best quilt wall I've used”
I’ve purchased three quilt wall products over the years and this is by far the best. It is much better at holding fabric pieces and is more stable. Others were too flimsy or thin. I’m thrilled with this one! I use it to make sure I’m following the pattern before I sew it together. I’m also discovering new patterns as I go.
— Rebecca
A tip from the notions wall: If something you want is sold out, the review section is your friend — the products quilters keep writing about are the ones we restock most often. The Everyday Scissors and 45mm rotary blades are usually back within days.
Two more favorites didn’t make the product list, but they are worth knowing about: a BLOCK Magazine annual subscription, which brings the next year of issues straight to your mailbox so you never miss one, and our machine quilting service — send us your pieced top and it comes back quilted, and it is quietly the highest-rated thing we offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you decide which products make this list?
By you. We look at the products our customers wrote about most during the month, then pull the reviews that best describe what the product is actually like to use. If something is sold out, we leave it off so you are not clicking through to an empty page.
Are these reviews from real customers?
Yes. Every review here comes from a verified Missouri Star order — the request goes out after your order ships, so the reviewer had the product in hand. We don't edit reviews; quotes are trimmed for length only.
Why do some products have thousands of reviews and others twenty?
How long we've carried it, and how many people bought it. Rotary blades pile up reviews because quilters rebuy them constantly. A Christmas charm pack that launched weeks ago is starting from zero — which is exactly why we rank by what happened last month instead of by lifetime totals.
How do I pick between two products that both look good?
Read what customers say they made with it. A charm pack review that describes a finished table runner tells you more than any star rating, and it is the fastest way to know whether something suits the project you have in mind.
Can I review something I bought months ago?
Yes. Every order page has a review link, and reviews happen as a short guided chat rather than a long form — most take under two minutes. Photos are welcome, and they're what makes a product page genuinely useful to the next quilter.
