Free Piecing Inspired by Gee's Bend Quilting

Jenny's taught us about crumb piecing before, but another great way to use up scraps is to create free-pieced log cabin blocks inspired by the incredible, historical quilters of Gee's Bend. We had so much fun making them for the latest issue of Block Magazine! Any size strips will work, the magic comes in allowing yourself to play and squaring it all up at the end. So grab a pile of scraps and strips and come sew with us!
