Blue Feather Products

Feather King–a lifelong sewist, cook, and baker–is one of those people who thinks, this task would be a lot easier if I had a gadget that did X. Many of us have those thoughts but don’t act on them. Feather invented a gadget to solve the problem–more than once! In 1980, Feather and her husband John started Blue Feather Products to manufacture and market Feather’s inventions. In 2013, some of Blue Feather’s products were sold to Grabbit Sewing Tools. We are happy to offer these clever products from the Blue Feather Company and Grabbit for sale from Missouri Star.

Many of Feather’s inventions focus on sewing organization. A popular product is the Bobbinsaver. This Blue Feather bobbin storage device is a flexible, plastic, donut with the top sheared off. There is a channel in the donut that is just deep enough to hold classic “L” size metal or plastic bobbins. The Blue Feather bobbin saver has a lip around the top edges to hold the bobbins in place once you press them into the channel. These Blue Feather bobbin holders for sewing each hold about 20 bobbins, and they come in a variety of colors. We think these Grabbit Bobbinsavers are a clever solution for bobbin storage.

We also like the Grabbit magnetic pin holder–another of Feather’s inventions. This device features a super strong magnet that sits within a small plastic bowl. It comes with 50 steel straight pins.
