Ombre Fairy Dust Metallic - Teal Yardage

I made a quilt I was t sure I liked. It needed to be bigger but I wasn’t sure sure how I wanted to do it. I already had the first border from fabric in the fairy Dust collection and even the 108 backing. Trying to find just the right color was hard. I settled on the teal but the only one in the collection was this Ombré. I took a chance and got it. It’s perfect! No kidding. The ombré looks really cool with the rest of the quilt top. It’s not quilted yet but you get the idea here.

The fabric has a nice feel and it is pretty. However, the color is Crayola crayon seafoam green, NOT teal. I cannot use it for the purpose that I intended. "Teal" is a deep blue-green color. For once the photo and my monitor were accurate in portraying the color. Too bad for me.

Oh , I love this fabric. Can't wait to try the pattern I saw Jenny do in one of her tutorials. This should be fun!
