Latifah Saafir is the creative engine of Latifah Saafir Studios–a quilt pattern, sewing pattern, and sewing product company. Latifah combines her training as an engineer and her lifelong love of sewing to produce modern quilting patterns that are graphically bold. Her engineering background shines in designs by Latifah Saafir because of the attention to innovative construction techniques.

Latifah is the inventor of The Clammy Template–sometimes called The Clammy Ruler–and has designed many ingenious quilt patterns based on The Clammy. Watch the video of Latifah introducing The Clammy below to learn about all the wonderful things you can do with it!
