In the Beginning Fabrics was established in 1977 as a retail store in Seattle by Sharon Evans Yenter. This unique business originally offered high-quality fabrics, quilting/ sewing classes, and no shortage of inspiration. Sharon’s business rapidly expanded to become a quilter’s paradise. Sharon’s son Jason decided to close the retail store in 2005. Jason and Sharon turned their focus to designing special quilting cotton fabrics and unique patterns. Now, In the Beginnings Fabrics is known for their one-of-a-kind fabrics sold in quilting and textile stores worldwide.
