These bundles of 2.5” mini charm squares measure 2.5"x2.5" and often come with a pinked edge to prevent fraying. Most contain either 42 or 84 2.5 inch fabric squares, but the number of the fabric pieces found in mini fabric charm square packs varies by manufacturer.

What can I do with mini charm squares?

We highly recommend pairing 2.5 inch precut fabric squares with jelly roll fabrics, especially if you are using a solid color as sashing or background fabric (many manufacturers offer solid colors in both sizes make matching oh-so-easy!). Or, you may wish to cut 2.5 inch charms into smaller shapes to use in your quilt blocks.
How many mini charm packs do I need for a quilt?
The answer to this question will vary on the size of quilt you wish to make, and whether or not you will be using mini fabric charm packs exclusively. Since four mini charm packs is equal to one regular size pack of 2.5 inch charms, most quilters tend to make smaller-sized projects if they are not adding yardage or other precut fabrics. With that in mind, here are a few quick estimations to keep in mind when you want to buy mini charm packs:
