What are Moda precuts?
You’ve probably noticed the yummy-sounding names for Moda precut fabrics. Using baking terms for some of their precuts adds a little bit of flavor to quilt fabric shopping, don’t you think?! A Layer Cake is simply their name for 10” squares and Jelly Rolls are packages of 2.5” strips. Rest assured, Moda Layer Cakes and Moda Fabric Jelly Rolls don’t include frosting - that would be odd and pretty messy!!
Another thing that makes Moda unique is their Moda Cake Mix Recipes, created specifically for Moda precut fabrics! Although it sounds like something you might find in the baking aisle, Moda Cake Mix Recipes is a special Moda product that is literally a book of Layer Cake projects. If you’re partial to 10” fabric squares, then this would be a fun book for you!
