Set your course by the never-deviating North Star and you’ll always be right on track. In this splendid quilt, the center star is magnified by points that radiate outward to each corner, giving this quilt a wonderful, graphic appearance! While it may look complex, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find how easy it is to make! Using precut 2 ½” strips, 1 1/2" strips, and 2 1/2” squares is the secret to a speedy finish.
Clarification Note: When placing the 2 1/2” marked square on each print strip, it overlaps the seam allowance by about 1/4”. This enables you to keep the points on the outer edge of the block.

Finished size: 80" x 80"

Graduation gift

This pattern is very easy to follow . The instructions plus your tutorial is making it easy to put the blocks together. I will be gifting the quilt for a graduation gift. Here is a picture of the first 4 blocks.

The directions were easy to follow. There is an error in the pattern. Instead of making 44 HSTs you only need to make 36. Other than that is is perfect.

Wonderful and easy pattern

The pattern was easy to put together. It has 4 quadrants. The same fabric as the photo was used. I quilted it using silver thread. Because it is a modern pattern with modern style fabric I used a modern quilting pattern that uses stars within boxes. It’s gotten many compliments. Thanks MSQC for another home run!

"North Star" Shines Bright

I love this quilt top and couldn't wait to try it. I read the instructions a couple times (I'm new at following patterns), then made some practice blocks out of strip "scraps." The block was easy--no seams to match! I'm planning to modify the pattern to make a table runner.
