In this splendid quilt, the center star is magnified by points that radiate outward to each corner, giving this quilt a wonderful, graphic appearance! While it may look complex, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find how easy it is to make! Using precut 2 ½” strips, 1 1/2" strips, and 2 ½” squares is the secret to a speedy finish.
Clarification Note: When placing the 2 1/2” marked square on each print strip, it overlaps the seam allowance by about 1/4”. This enables you to keep the points on the outer edge of the block.

Finished size: 80" x 80"

The download was easy, and the instructions are very simple to follow. And addition to the pattern would help if the number of strips in a layer cake were included and indications on light, medium, dark, blue color, and quantity for each shade might be helpful I started with fabric and tones I had already purchased. Fun pattern

So easy to download a pattern and get started. I’m almost done! I only wish that there had been yardage requirements included. I had a jelly roll for the blue, but used yardage for the contrast. Making a small version for my wall.

The pattern is well written and the instructions are very clear. However when you watch the tutorial, Jenny is sewing it differently. I would recommend combining the two where the strips are concerned. After you cut the half square the squares for the half square triangles, I would leave the strips whole. Then I would do like Jenny did in the tutorial. It will compensate for the vagueries of the seam allowances. Now my seam allowances are quarter inch but when I near the end of the block, it's...
