But when using laser cut pre fused applique pieces, all you need to do is iron the fusible side to the “right” side of your chosen fabric, then after that you pick your stitching! If you’re wondering what stitch do you use for applique? Most quilters recommend the zig zag stitch or a blanket stitch.
Do you quilt before or after applique? Another good question! There is no right or wrong applique technique because it depends on the project itself. If your project is small and simple, quilting it before adding your precut applique shapes might be easier compared to a larger project.
