Quilting Made Easy creates quilting patterns for use with home machines. The 100 Series patterns for borders are intended for beginning machine quilters who are using a regular stitching or walking foot. Series 200, 300, and 400 patterns require a darning or free-motion foot. Free motion Quilting Made Easy patterns in Series 200 are for blocks; Series 300 are for stipples; and Series 400 are for borders. Every Quilting Made Easy pattern is rated with a 1, 2, or 3 level of difficulty to make it easier for the sewist to choose a pattern appropriate for her familiarity with machine quilting.
Quilting Made Easy borders, called Borders Made Easy, are repositionable, adhesive strips of tear-away, printed, pattern paper. These Borders Made Easy quilting patterns include the corners, and many of them may be echoed for extra wide quilt borders. These quilting borders on a roll are 26 feet long.
Stipples Made Easy by Quilting Made Easy, are self-adhesive patterns that make it easy for sewists to quilt using their home machines. The stitches in stipple quilting flow in continuous lines, allowing the sewist to stitch without stopping. You may be wondering how to use Stipples Made Easy. Start by calculating how many packages of a particular stipple pattern you will need to purchase. Each roll of quilting Stipples Made Easy is labeled with a specific width. To determine how much you need, divide the length of your quilt top by the width of the stipple pattern you wish to use. This will tell you how many rows of stipple pattern you will need to lay across your quilt. Next, multiply the number of strips by the width of the quilt top in inches. Then divide by 12 to calculate the number of feet of pattern you will need. Each roll of Quilting Made Easy stipple pattern is 26 feet long. These patterns can be attached to your quilt with pins or temporary adhesive spray. Quilting on a Roll could be used for borders, sashing, or continuous patterns over an entire quilt. Each Quilting Made Easy roll has 50 feet of pattern. There are some Quilting on a Roll patterns that can be sewn with a regular stitching or walking foot and others that must be sewn with a darning or free-motion foot. Because several of these Quilting Made Easy stencils are rated Level of Difficulty 1, this might be a great option for a first time home quilter.
