My version of Garden Rows

I couldn’t wait to make garden rows. I had lots of left overs. I wanted it a little wider than sample so I just made verticals section wider. And I’m starting on another one w/more left overs! Thanks!

Great articles and patterns

I like the articles and patterns. I like the vibrant colors. I like the directions that are both visual and written out. I haven't done one of the projects yet. The wonky stars project is intriguing and one that is on my list to try soon using scraps so I can get used to it. Then I'll hopefully want to do more!

To be totally honest I think the magazine wasn't as good as other Block magazines in the past. There seems to be a lot more small projects in Block lately. Articles, seem longer. And the patterns just don't seem to "GRAB " me like they use to. I've only been a subscriber for about 3 or more years but I just couldn't wait to be one. And now I wonder if I should go back to buying an issue at a time? The magazine it self is of very good quality.

It was just ok. I won't be sewing any of the patterns. The past four or five issues have not been up to the usual wonderful quilt patterns I've come to expect. There seems to be more smaller sewing items and articles than quilts. For this reason, I cancelled my subscription.

Too Many Cats!

I had a friend visiting when Block arrived. She had never seen it before, and was impressed with the photography, directions and information. She did ask if it was typical that there be a number of projects on the same theme in each issue. In other words . . . too many cats! I am concerned that now there seem to be ‘repeat’ patterns that were contained in previous Block Magazines (admittedly in new color ways).
