    Produces beautiful star ornaments.

Pattern instructions were easy to read and the finished ornaments look great.

There are cutting measurements for 3 star sizes (5, 7, and 11 inch). I also wanted to make smaller stars, so had to use the chart size ratios to calculate the cutting measurements for a 4-inch star.

here are the measurements I used:

    main - 2 inch x 3 1/2 inch

    trim - 1 inch LOF

    back strips - 2 inch x 5 3/4 inch

The instructions given tell you to stack and sew the three completed star point sections together using the sewing machine. I have an upper end machine that can stitch through heavy belting with ease. But in no way could it stitch the bulk of the 3 star sections. I had to hand tack them together. Since I will be making over a hundred of the stars, I am considering using a heavy-duty 50-sheet stapler to attach the pieces.

The photos are of the 4 inch stars.
