Out here in Hamilton, Missouri we’re surrounded by farms and the folks who feed this country. I’ll admit I’ve never grown a vegetable in my life, and I am very grateful for those who do.

Without farmers we wouldn’t have anything to eat, we wouldn’t have this fabulous farmhouse-inspired fabric, and we wouldn’t have one of my favorite categories of jokes- farm jokes! This one gave me a good chuckle:

Farmer Evans was driving his tractor along the road with a trailer load of fertilizer. Tim, a little boy of eight, was playing in his yard when he saw the farmer and asked, 'What've you got in your trailer?'

'Manure,' Farmer Evans replied.

'What are you going to do with it?' asked Tim.

'Put it on my strawberries,' answered the farmer.

Tim replied, 'You ought to come and eat with us, we put ice-cream on our strawberries.'
