Artisan Batiks - Orbital Sunrise Ten Squares

I was fortunate to meet Karen Nyberg (the astronaut quilter) in Paducah this year (2024) and was inspired to do something from her line of fabrics. Many of her fabrics are based on pictures she took from space. When I saw Misty’s pattern, it struck a chord with me and everything fell into place. These are great colors. I love that they reflect what the designer saw from space.

These are gorgeous, especially since they were taken from the orbiting space station as it traveled around the sun. My only problem is trying to choose what pattern to use. I have not made anything yet. I did like the ones made by the original pictures from her views on the apace station. I believe Kaufman made these.
