Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Aurora combines double pinwheel blocks with fussy-cut floral circles appliqued to their centers. Jean Ann Wright’s intermediate quilt features Anna Griffin’s Aurora collection and finishes at 80 inches square. Nine sixteen-inch blocks are separated by wide sashing and contrasting corner squares. A rose-print outer border completes the frame with mitered corners, while the pattern specifies fusible web for the circular applique and coordinating fabric for the folded binding.

  1. Cut the triangle pieces, sashing strips and corner squares. Fussy-cut the floral circles and rose border strips, preparing the applique with fusible web as directed.
  2. Join the B and G triangles, then add the F triangles to make the pieced squares. Combine four squares into each double pinwheel block and applique a circle over its center.
  3. Join the blocks with sashing and corner-square rows. Attach and miter the wide outer border, then layer, baste, quilt and finish with the folded binding.
