- Cut the fabric squares and border strips. Sew the paired squares into half-square triangles and trim each group to its specified size.
- Assemble the large center star and add its frame. Piece the four smaller corner stars and the four large flying-geese setting units.
- Join the star and setting units in three rows. Add the narrow black and red borders, then the directional triangle border and black floral outer border.
- Layer, baste and quilt. Use the designated red fabric to prepare bias binding and finish the edges.
