Block Magazine 2023 Volume 10 Issue 4

I have been getting Block Magazine since they were first issued. I have many quilts that have been featured in the issues over the years. I like that they also include small projects and basic quilting instructions. I used to get it through my local quilt shop but they stopped carrying it; now I order directly from Missouri Star but am considering a subscription for next year. Keep up the good work!

I love block! It is a great resource, and put together very well. I always look forward to it coming. Tape to the rescue was a great idea. Thank you all very much for this wonderful idea book.

Just completed the Table Runner in this issue. The directions clearly were not tested as written and were wordy and confusing. Page 108 and 110 were repeats. So unnecessary. Cutting directions were poor. So thankful for the illustrations. I improved the finished design by adding sashing to show off the block.

The new wavy line illustrations for cutting instructions are confusing and unclear. Please go back to the old way of doing it.

This is a nice book, every time I receive it. My husband's always jealous. He always explains to me how he wishes some of his Magazines would come as nicely bound and Colorful. Where is one thing that would be? Really nice to be added to the block magazine. And that would be to have at least 1 or 2 of the triple play patterns put in the issue or twice a year. Have a special magazine or book out with all the patterns available Throughout the year or that particular year. You guys come up with...

Patterns were okay but the fabric selections did not enhance the pattern. I would like to see a more diversified collection of fabrics used with different quilt pattersn.

My great grandmother is the one receiving it, and she honestly didn't find much of value in it. She's been sewing for 70+ years and quilting for 50+ years and she just didn't find much in it she liked for how much it cost and how long it takes to receive it. It has hardly any patterns for quilts and has more stories about the blocks than blocks themselves.

Started with Block from the beginning. Dissatisfied with the lack of new patterns! Lots of repeats! Would also watch the videos and they would appear in the Block now you must purchase patterns separately.

Needs fewer stories, more patterns, more "how-to"

This is the third edition that has disappointed me. It seems that all of the patterns were too difficult, not like the older ones. It seems to be more in tuned with the experienced quilters.
