Description:

Block Party is a set of four intermediate wall hangings designed by Lisa Swenson Ruble with Flowers on Main fabrics by Laura Heine. Each 26 by 34 inch hanging begins with a fussy-cut printed town scene. Narrow inner frames, triangle accents and wider outer borders surround the center. Separate assembly diagrams show the four fabric arrangements, while the fabric chart supplies the materials for the complete set. Two binding fabrics finish two hangings each.

Block Party Wall Hanging Free Pattern by Lisa Swenson Ruble quilt pattern summary

  1. Fussy cut the four printed town centers and cut the remaining pieces from the fabric chart. Pair marked squares, sew on both sides of the diagonal lines, then cut and press the triangle units.
  2. Join the triangle units into the illustrated corner blocks. Frame each town center with its narrow inner strips, then add the middle borders and their triangle corner units.
  3. Add the wide outer borders and pieced corners, following the individual layout for each of the four hangings. Layer, baste and quilt each project, then bind two with F and two with G.
