Bohemian Chic Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day

Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Bohemian Chic surrounds fussy-cut floral centers with pieced triangular corners, then separates the blocks with striped sashing and small nine-patch intersections. Stacey Day designed the advanced-beginner quilt with Joyful fabrics by Sarah Campbell. Twenty blocks form five rows of four, and a wide Gala-print border encloses the center. The finished quilt measures 73 by 88 inches with twelve-inch blocks. Its strip-set construction supplies both the long sashing units and the smaller pieces used at their intersections.

  1. Fussy cut the floral framing strips and prepare the remaining squares, triangles and border pieces. Sew light and dark strip sets, then cut the sashing segments.
  2. Piece the nine-patch sashing intersections and triangular corner units. Frame each floral center and add its four corner units to complete twenty blocks.
  3. Arrange the blocks in five rows of four with sashing between them. Join the block and sashing rows, then add the wide outer borders.
  4. Prepare the binding, layer and quilt, and trim the extra batting and backing. Attach the binding and hand stitch it in place on the back.
