Botanical Pop Free Quilt Pattern by Leslie Sonkin
Botanical Pop combines nine framed cobblestone blocks with flower appliques in a 46-inch square quilt. Leslie Sonkin's design uses fat eighths for the block centers and white fabric with gray stripes for their outer pieces. Red floral cutouts cross the sashing, while a mitered border frames the finished arrangement. Piecing establishes the three-by-three layout, then lightweight fusible web and red zigzag stitching secure the flowers before the quilt is layered, quilted and bound.
