Bounce combines strip-pieced backgrounds with circular appliques in a 45-by-60-inch quilt. Larene Smith's design uses the Windham Basics Pastel collection and arranges twelve blocks in four rows. The circles can be stuffed and partially fused or made entirely with fusible web, with an option to leave spaces between their sections. Narrow inner borders and wider outer borders frame the blocks, while separate binding fabrics finish the sides and the top and bottom.

Bounce Free Quilt Pattern by Larene Smith quilt pattern summary
- Cut the fabric strips and join the three strip sets. Crosscut the sets and combine their rectangles to make twelve block backgrounds.
- Prepare the circular templates and choose either the stuffed, partially fused method or the fully fused method. Position the circle sections on the backgrounds, alternating colors and placement as directed.
- Arrange three blocks in each of four rows, rotating the blocks according to the layout. Join the rows, add the inner and outer borders, then layer, quilt and bind.
