Brilliant Burst Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day
Brilliant Burst is an intermediate quilt designed by Stacey Day featuring UnCorked fabrics. Template and curved piecing create a large circular center from two rings of colored segments. A small center circle and an outer background complete the round design before rectangular borders bring the quilt to 52 by 66 inches. The pattern includes templates to print and assemble, a placement diagram for the individual fabrics, and fat-quarter requirements for most of the colored sections.

Brilliant Burst Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day quilt pattern summary
- Print the templates at 100 percent, check the scale marks and join the template sections as shown. Cut the fabric pieces and border strips.
- Sew the inner-circle segments in the illustrated order and join them to the center circle, matching the pressed reference lines.
- Piece the outer circle, join the two rings and add the circle background. Match the prints and reference points, then trim the center square.
- Add the side, top and bottom borders. Layer with batting and backing, baste, quilt as desired and bind.
