Budgies & Bouquets Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day
Budgies & Bouquets places appliquéd stems, leaves and gathered yo-yo flowers inside heart blocks, alternating them with checkerboard units. Stacey Day designed the intermediate quilt with Blostma & Song fabrics by Penny Jeffries. Curved piecing shapes the hearts and the outer border blocks, while separate side and corner blocks complete the diagonal arrangement. The quilt finishes at 82 5/8 inches square, with optional buttons for the flower centers and an appliquéd-circle alternative to the yo-yos.
