Carriage House Free Quilt Pattern by Pat Speth
Carriage House is a 72-inch square quilt built from thirteen star blocks with nine-patch centers. Pat Speth's design uses light and dark or medium fat quarters, cut into five-inch squares for its pieced units. Checkerboard setting triangles surround the stars in an on-point arrangement. A narrow inner border and wider outer border frame the diagonal rows. The construction combines half-square triangles, strip-pieced checkerboards and individually assembled star blocks before quilting and binding.
