Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Colonial Beauty frames a fussy-cut toile image with flying geese, square-in-square units and borders in a 50-inch-square quilt. Debby Kratovil’s design combines black, gold, cream and gray fabrics from the Grand Style collection. Alternating black and gold square-in-square blocks create a pieced border, with gray triangle units at its corners. A wider printed border surrounds that arrangement, and additional gold-centered blocks mark the outer corners before striped binding finishes the edges.

Colonial Beauty Free Quilt Pattern by Debby Kratovil quilt pattern summary

  1. Center and cut the toile image. Piece the flying-geese units and join them with corner squares around the toile, then attach the narrow black-and-gold border with gold corner squares.
  2. Make the black and gold square-in-square units and the light-and-dark gray triangle corner units. Join them into the alternating pieced border and attach it to the center.
  3. Add the final printed border with gold square-in-square corners. Layer the top with batting and backing, quilt, trim the layers evenly and attach the folded striped binding.
