Country Hearts Free Quilt Pattern by Kerri Thomson
Country Hearts turns scrappy Log Cabin patchwork into heart-shaped blocks set against a pieced fence-like background. Rectangles are cut at different angles from the Log Cabin blocks before sewn corners create the heart shapes. The background uses angled joins to vary its strips, and vertical sashing separates the finished columns. Kerri Thomson designed this advanced-beginner quilt with Red Palette fabrics by Tim Holtz. It finishes at 77 by 88 inches and includes a joined rectangle template for preparing the heart pieces.
