Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Crossroads places fussy-cut animal squares on point, linking them with narrow striped sashing and small cornerstones. The sashing is assembled from strip sets and arranged in numbered rows so its colors continue through the diagonal layout. Stacey Day designed the advanced-beginner quilt with Graywork and True Colors fabrics by Tula Pink. Its approximate finished size is 93 1/2 by 109 inches, with setting triangles completing the outside edges and bias binding enclosing the top.

Crossroads Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day quilt pattern summary

  1. Fussy cut the animal squares on point, keeping each motif upright. Cut the setting triangles, cornerstone pieces and strip-set fabrics.
  2. Sew the three-strip sets and cut the short sashing units. Combine these with the cornerstones and end triangles to make the numbered sashing rows.
  3. Arrange the motif squares, short sashing and setting triangles in diagonal rows. Join those rows with the numbered sashing rows and add the final corner triangles.
  4. Prepare the bias binding and layer the quilt with batting and backing. Quilt, trim the layers and finish the binding on the back.
