Boats for a baby

I bought this pattern to make a baby quilt and I love the way it turned out. The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to adapt them as I was using scraps for the boats rather than the precut suggested in the pattern. I decided not to add the border as I thought it was just as cute without it.

My opinion of this Quilt Pattern

The hexi template is not very easy to use. It took a lot of fiddling to get the background to match up to the boat. The instructions are terrible! The pattern tells you to match up the 1/4 hexis, but gives you no clue how to do it. It should explain that they have to be revered so the narrow sides go up on each side. Once again there is no explanation! Where it tells you to reverse the sails the diagram does not show it reversed. I do have the quilt top almost completed but it was not a...
