    Just might be my Go-To-Pattern

    I had a Liberty and Linen layer cake snoozing in my stash with no idea what to do with it - this pattern seemed to tick all the boxes....And it did !

    It was so easy to follow and it is the quickest that I have ever made a quilt, I didn't have time to get bored or confused . I am so happy with the result I am making another before the first one is even back from the Longarm Quilter .

    This was a great pattern to decrease my stash of 30’s fabric. Fast and easy construction. Since I had already cut out some 8-1/2 inch squares, I adjusted the instructions for a smaller sized block. I also created other block cuts for greater variety.

    a little confusing

    This is a beautiful pattern. Says it’s good for beginners, so I chose it for my first quilt. However, it tells you the “finished” block size right after the “unfinished” block size without telling you that “finished” means “after it’s sewn in to the quilt. I trimmed several of my blocks to the “finished” size before my experienced quilting friend told me “I *think* that means after it’s sewn together”. She wasn’t even sure until we did a bunch of math. I had to buy another layer cake to re-do all of my A blocks. A “beginner” pattern should be VERY clearly written. As someone who writes knitting patterns for beginners, I do this.
