Fresh Take

Chevrons were popular a decade ago to the point that the pattern felt dated when I saw it. Like a good song that got played to death on the radio. Good song. Good pattern. Just too familiar to be refreshing. This is a fresh take, for me, on the classic ripple. I liked using charm packs and the small template, too. It is fun adding in low volume backgrounds. I use a walking foot to quilt on a small throated machine. The tumblers make a path for lines of quilting.
