Perfect quilt for a future pilot

I made this for my 11-year-old grandson who loves flying. I made it off the tutorial Jenny had made. I did not have the pattern. He already has more hours than needed for his pilot's license. By the time he is old enough, he will have many many hours. It’s all good practice. He loved it.

Easy pattern

I loved the patten. It was very easy to follow the instructions. I made the quilt for a friend who recently lost her husband. He was a Navy pilot and enjoyed flying miniature planes so this pattern was perfect.

Great pattern for child's quilt

I enjoyed making this quilt. I felt like the instructions were easy to follow, and once you got the hang of cutting them out, chosing the material was the hardest part of the whole thing. I made mine much simpler and smaller for a 3 year old who loves airplanes. The backing was a velour type of dark blue. I'm giving it to him at Christmas, so we'll see how he likes it.

Maybe you should say something about planes

I just love this pattern but I am still waiting for the background to come in the mail. It was easy to cut out and I just used 2 1/2" strips of anything red-white-or blue. Or a combination there-of. I make quilt for soldiers. I am sure someone will just love this.
