Double your fun with a pattern that takes the simple four-patch quilt block and adds sashing for an extra special touch! Flip a couple of the blocks and you've got an incredible pattern that looks complicated, but couldn't be simpler. Start with two packages of 5" squares, add on 3/4 yard of accent fabric and finish it with 1 3/4 yards of background fabric.

Love at first sight for this pattern

I loved the pattern when the tutorial was on MSQC. I made the original Double Square Star quilt some years ago when Jenny did the tutorial on it and loved the way it came together. When I saw it with the four patch version, it was love at first sight! It's still in the planning stage waiting for the perfect fabric collection to catch my eye.
