Watch the tutorial on YouTube!

When you get to the zipper, the instructions are confusing. Diagram 6F is incorrect. Shift the zipper unit up so the bottom is on the line. If you do it the way the directions say, your zipper will be upside down. Cute bag but directions need clarification. YouTube tutorial is very helpful.

Easy to make

This pattern is easy to make. First time I have made this weekend and made 2 of them. Make sure to have the one sided fusible bosal as I didn't have for the second and made it much harder to work with.

Zipper instructions different from video?

The written instructions say that the zipper pull should face the right side of the lining when installing. I did this and wound up with my zipper unit upside down. I watched the video again and saw that Misty had the zipper pull facing AWAY from the right side of the lining.

A useful tote

I gave this pattern 4 stars because while the instructions are basically easy I do not think it is a beginner project. I have been sewing for many years so had no trouble putting it together. However, was very annoyed after purchasing a 24 inch zipper, the instructions were to cut it down to 18 inches! And the sewing in of the zipper had to be done very precisely in order to fit in the top of the tote properly. In my opinion a beginner sewer would find that part difficult.
