Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Ebb and Flow builds its quilt from half-square triangles arranged into repeated four-unit blocks. Two layouts are offered: one creates a braided effect, while the other keeps the triangles aligned in the same direction within each block. The quilt features Enrapture fabrics and was designed by Giucy Giuce. Rated advanced, it finishes at 64 by 72 inches, with eight-inch finished blocks arranged in nine rows of eight and separate full-quilt diagrams for both options.

Ebb and Flow Free Quilt Pattern by Giucy Giuce quilt pattern summary

  1. Cut the print and background squares and reserve the binding strips. Mark the background squares with a diagonal line and stitching lines on either side.
  2. Pair the marked and print squares, sew the outer lines and cut the center line to form half-square triangles. Trim the units and repeat the fabric pairings.
  3. Choose the braided arrangement or the aligned-triangle arrangement, then piece the four-unit blocks consistently. Arrange the blocks in nine rows of eight and join the rows.
  4. Join the binding strips and layer, baste and quilt the top. Trim the excess layers and hand stitch the binding to the back.
