Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Elm Park surrounds an appliqued leaf center with seven borders in a 48-inch-square quilt. Jill Reid’s design uses cheddar, navy and poison-green fabrics from Nancy Gere’s Colonies collection. Pieced triangle units alternate with narrow fabric borders, while another ring of leaves repeats the center’s applique treatment. Thirty-six square-in-a-square blocks form a later border, combining navy, cheddar and green centers with cream triangles before the final green border completes the quilt.

  1. Cut the cheddar center square and prepare the leaf shapes with fusible web. Arrange the leaves, fuse them in place and stitch around each with a small zigzag stitch.

  3. Piece thirty-six square-in-a-square blocks with colored centers and cream triangles. Join them around the quilt and add the final green border.
  4. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing, quilt as desired and apply the binding.
