Farmhouse Flowers Free Quilt Pattern by Lucy A. Fazely
Farmhouse Flowers combines two groups of pieced corner units around a small center square in each large block. Lucy A. Fazely designed the advanced-beginner quilt with French Farmhouse fabrics by Lillian August and coordinating Tonal Strawberry Thief prints. Nine twenty-eight-inch finished blocks are joined in three rows, with narrow background strips separating the units inside each block. Three border rounds surround the center, bringing the finished quilt to ninety-nine inches square.

- Cut and label the squares, rectangles, border strips and binding pieces. Mark the diagonal guidelines on the background corner squares.
- Sew the diagonal-corner units and paired squares, then add the rectangles to build the two corner-unit arrangements. Combine them with background strips and center squares to make nine blocks.
- Join the blocks in three rows. Measure the center and add the inner, middle and outer borders in order, matching their ends and centers.
- Prepare the binding, layer and quilt, then trim the extra layers. Attach the binding with mitered corners and finish it by hand on the back.
