When you tire of one design, simply flip it over and enjoy another gorgeous pattern. Before you begin sewing, gather up your scraps that measure 4 1/2" inches square, you'll need 32 pieces for the front and 32 for the back. You can also use a charm pack. Add 2 yards of black and you're ready to go!

Haven’t used the pattern!

I haven’t yet used the pattern, but I love it, and am anxious to finish up some of my other projects, so I can make a table runner. My family keeps me pretty busy sewing and/or crocheting & knitting, most of the time. I have 3 children, 9 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren (all in the area.)

flickering starlight..........................

I love the pattern, but did not find directions clear.

It says to "gather up your stash of squares" but doesn't say how many you need for each side.

After watching the tutorial, I learned that I needed six squares for each side. Perhaps for some people that was obvious since we had 12 black squares, but it was not obvious to me.

Also, It would be nice to be able to use some of your stash of small pieces of fabric, so maybe once I make one, I could figure out how to do that with leftover pieces.
