Rectangular blocks alternate direction between segmented sashing strips, while leaf corner blocks connect the diamond borders. The instructions offer both raw-edge and turned-under applique methods.

Floral Fantasy Free Quilt Pattern by Marsha Evans Moore quilt pattern summary
- Choose raw-edge or turned-under applique and prepare the leaf and stem pieces accordingly. Cut the petal, quarter-circle, diamond and triangle shapes with the supplied templates.
- Piece the alternating petals and ease their inner curves onto the quarter-circle centers. Applique each flower, stem and leaves to its background rectangle, making the shown reversed versions.
- Piece the diamond units and add the background triangles to make the patchwork borders. Applique the small leaves to the corner-block backgrounds.
- Join the blocks into vertical rows and assemble the segmented sashing strips. Add the sashing, inner borders, diamond borders with corner blocks, and final outer border.
- Layer the backing, batting and quilt top, then baste and quilt as desired. Join the binding strips and finish the quilt edges with the prepared binding.
