Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Floral Formation uses half-square triangle blocks throughout a 42-inch by 49-inch quilt. Six fabric pairings combine prints from Essoldo Design with an Almond solid, and each block begins with a pair of eight-inch squares. The blocks are trimmed before being arranged into seven rows, with their rotations set out in a labeled diagram. Eleven fabrics are supplied as fat quarters, while the Labradorite fabric also provides the binding for this beginner project.

  1. Cut the eight-inch squares and binding strips specified in the chart. Mark a diagonal on one square of each pair, sew on both sides of the line, and cut along it.
  2. Press and trim the half-square triangle blocks to 7½ inches, repeating the method for the six fabric combinations. Follow the chart for the number of blocks used from each pairing.
  3. Arrange the blocks in seven rows, checking each rotation against the layout, and join the rows. Layer, baste and quilt as desired, then bind with Fabric D.
