Flying South Free Quilt Pattern by Lucy A. Fazely
Flying South combines Snowball blocks with several Mosaic block variations in a diagonal arrangement. Edge and corner Snowball units finish the setting, and borders extend the quilt above and below the pieced center. The Arboretum collection supplies the prints, with shot cottons used among the coordinating pieces. The finished project measures 40 1/8 by 50 1/8 inches and includes a triangle template, separate unit diagrams and a full layout to guide the different block positions.
