Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Fruitopia Fussie turns light and dark motifs from Fruit Mandala fabric into individually framed blocks. Two framing fabrics distinguish the groups before the blocks are arranged in diagonal rows with setting triangles. Stargazer pink forms an inner border, and a fussy-cut fruit-and-floral border finishes the edge with mitered corners. This advanced-beginner quilt features Fruitopia by Helen Godden, Chromatics and Designer Essential Solids, with a finished size of 52 1/2 inches square.

Fruitopia Fussie Free Quilt Pattern by FreeSpirit Fabrics quilt pattern summary

  1. Fussy cut the light and dark center squares and the outer-border strips. Cut the framing rectangles, setting triangles and inner-border pieces separately.
  2. Add side and end rectangles around each center square to make the four framed-block groups. Keep the light and dark motifs paired with their designated framing fabrics.
  3. Arrange the blocks and side triangles in nine diagonal rows, then join the rows and add the corner triangles. Sew on the narrow inner border.
  4. Center the outer-border strips and sew them with space left at the corners, then mark and stitch the miters. Layer, quilt and complete the binding.
