Gelato Ombre 2.5" Strips

I forgot that I had this and thought I was making a quilt with solids. Surprise! I love, love, love it! I used the strips for the binding too but don't have a final picture~ I am not great at documenting my quilting!

This was my first experience with ombre. I had 2 rolls of strips and wanted quick and easy. Over calculated # of strips for size of jelly roll quilt so removed bottom 10 rows and made the Jennifer Sampou bag and a makeup bag. I love them all! This ombre is the same color on both ends of the strip as apposed to going light to dark and has a big variation of hue in most strips. Bright and happy!

Nice colors. Always hard for me to decide which colors go together! The picture is a “draft”. Haven’t decided in border, yet. Maybe piano keys.

The picture was totally deceiving. The strips ombre into a totally different color. Not going to work for what I wanted it for.

It was the name that caught my eye but the colors are beautiful!!! Planning on making table runners with it. My package was not delivered to me although the delivery company said it was. MSQ was great, reordered my fabric and had it to me very quickly!

I love this fabric so much that I bought it a second time to make a quilt for my granddaughters birthday.

The web photos don't do this justice. Just completed the Ribbon Star quilt after watching Misty's tutorial and used the gelato ombre jelly roll mixed with fabric from my stash. The saturated colors are just stunning!

It works out perfectly for my prism quilt.
