Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Great Fences pairs print fabrics with coordinating stripes in long, narrow blocks. Twenty fabric pairings produce eighty blocks, which are arranged in twenty rows with every other row reversed. Lucy A. Fazely designed the advanced-beginner quilt for Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics, with both Cool and Hot fabric plans. The finished quilt measures 72 by 90 inches, and the cutting diagrams offer separate layouts for fat quarters, six-inch design strips or quarter-yard pieces.

  1. Choose the Cool or Hot plan and the cutting diagram for the fabric format being used. Cut matching long and short rectangles from each print and stripe.
  2. Pair each print with a stripe. Arrange the rectangles in three rows and sew four blocks from each pairing, completing eighty blocks.
  3. Arrange four blocks in each of twenty rows, rotating the even rows. Sew the blocks and rows together, matching seams and keeping prints next to stripes.
  4. Prepare the binding and layer the backing, batting and top. Quilt, trim the layers and finish the binding on the back.
