Harriet’s Legacy Free Quilt Pattern by Sarah Maxwell & Dolores Smith
Harriet’s Legacy is a 99 inch square medallion quilt made with the American Woman’s Home collection. Its scrappy appearance comes from several block families assembled into successive borders around a four-block Monkey Wrench center. Northern Star, Bear’s Paw and Churn Dash blocks extend the center outward, while alternating Jacob’s Ladder blocks create the final zigzag effect. Chains of squares and spacer strips connect the different sections, and Churn Dash blocks occupy the corners of the outer arrangement.
