Great for appreciating old quilts

I'm using it for seeing the old quilts. I like the appliqué, the colors, and the precise cutting with scissors. No rotary cutters then!

This is one beautiful book!!!

I bought and received this book last week. It is a treasure. The photographs are big, bright and clear and allow the viewer to compare the differences between the modern aesthetic and that of yester year. I have a background in historical costuming and it is an absolute pleasure to see the handwork in detail. This is not a pattern book of historically inspired modern quilts, these are the real thing. There is also information on starting your own collection of historical quilts and their care....

Wonderful book so sent one as a Christmas gift. She lived it as well. So much history and sends you back in time as well as giving great ideas.
